Transportation system is an important aspect to determining an area to be compertable or not as a place to live. If that area have a good transportatiton system, this will able to attract more people to stay there.
The transport network in Greater Tokyo includes public and private rail and highway network; airport for international anad domestic, and general aviation; buses; motorcycle deliverry services, walking, bicycling and commercial shipping. Every part of Greater Tokyo area has rail or road transport services.
1. Rail
Rail is the primary mode transport in Tokyo, Tokyo has the most extensive urban railway network in the world. There are 882 interconnected station in the Tokyo metropolis, 282 of which are substation. trains are often extremly crowded at peak travel times, with people being pushed into trains by so-called oshiya (pushers). Shijuku station is the busiest train station in the world by passenger throughput.

2. Bicycle
Bicycle are widely used in Japan's for everyday life by people of all age group and social standings commuting to school, work, or to the closest railway station, picking up children from preschool or doing the daily groceries are among the activities commonly done by bicycle.
Due to high popularity of bicycle, they are dedicated parking near most railway stations and shopping center. Here and there you may even find multi-storey parking garages for exclusive used by bicycles. In Tokyo, theft is not uncomman. In oder to fight bicycles thief , every bicycle in Jpan is suppose to be registered with the police against a small one-time fee. If you buy a new bicycle, the registration process likely be handed by the store.
Using the public transportation can help to reduce air pollution and solve traffic congestion. This situation will help Tokyo become more attraction and make the people stay at Tokyo comfortable with their surrounding.

yes..the service is totally free.
almost all aroud the cities provide parking service especially around the market. so this give benefit to people at there to walk around by bike. so this will help to reduce trafic congestion
ok... Japan is well known as they care for the environment. If we use the bike service, it means it is pollution-free.
Is there any delay of the train? Malaysia's KTM is well known as the most frequent delay public transport~ I am getting mad with it!!
definitely NO! Japan is well known as the most punctual country in the world. If you are late for 30 seconds, you are definitely miss the train.
