Paris economic status has solely establish France as one of the world’s major economic powers. It generates profit from varying sources such as tourism, local business, transportation, manufacturing and so on.

          As visitor’s center of attraction, Paris has emerge as the hotspot for business opportunity. This has resulted many companies based in Paris become successful and according to Fortune Magazine, Paris ranked as number 2 in the Fortune Global 500 which calculated companies revenue in a year. There are 25 Paris-based companies on that particular list. It shows that the economy in Paris is in a good health.

          The status its hold as metropolitan city has make Paris as the biggest opportunity for its resident (Parisian), to set-up business or work in a major company. Research carried out in 1999 indicates that 4,949,306 Parisian employed in various economic sector in Paris. In other words, it is easy to get a job in Paris. If you live in Paris and suddenly one day you lose your job, do not push the panic button yet as you can easily get another job. Perhaps, working with your former company’s main rival? Revenge at its best.hehe.


PARIS - The Slightly Drawback

Eventhough France had been listed as one of the countries that have high crime rates, it does not stop me from stating that its capital city is the best cities to live in. This is due to all the other important factors that I had already mentioned which somehow clouded this slightly disadvantages. To be realistic, crime happens at every parts of the world.  Your safety depends on how you implement the precaution. Basically, in Paris, pickpockets occurs the most and various cases reported happen at transportation system such as in The Metro and The RER. Thus, in order to avoid this to happen, you are strongly advised to:

1. ·        Securely carrying your wallet.
2. ·         Keep a firm grip on your valuables.
3. ·         Do not flashing your money.
4. ·         Avoid stranger.

Culture Life of Comunity in Tokyo

Apart from economic and transportation factors, one reason why Tokyo could serve as the best cities to live in is the attitude of the people. Tokyo residents have their own entity. They do a job with cooperation and help each other. Positive practises adopted by them could be followed by all countries in maintaining a harmonious. In modern life in the city, the people of Tokyo is less need for cleaning duties surrounding municipal. Normally, they will be swept, collected garbage in their own homes. In the game parks, the neighboring communities will jointly conduct a voluntary self-help on the weekend. In fact, they also planting trees flower, and cleaning their homes. They also want the cities to be beautiful by flowering or gardening. In addition, at Tokyo it is difficult for us to see rubbish lying because each individual have their own responsibility to ensure the cleanliness of the area itself. At the picnic areas and recreation facilities can be seen following signs, which means keep the rubbish and refuse to take home. This attitude indirectly encouraging more people to stay in Tokyo for a better environment with all community have their positive attitude.



CRIME RATE IN TOKYO

The crime rate in Tokyo is low and not obvious for 6 years ( 2002-2008). So it is safe to live in Tokyo because there is not too much crime in that cities. However this is not mean that Tokyo is crime free. Tokyo as a metropolitan city, pickpockets always been major crime. So we need to be very careful with cash and goods.

2. Transportation System In Tokyo

Transportation system is an important aspect to determining an area to be compertable or not as a place to live. If that area have a good transportatiton system, this will able to attract more people to stay there.


The transport network in Greater Tokyo includes public and private rail and highway network; airport for international anad domestic, and general aviation; buses; motorcycle deliverry services, walking, bicycling and commercial shipping. Every part of Greater Tokyo area has rail or road transport services.

1. Rail 

Rail is the primary mode transport in Tokyo, Tokyo has the most extensive urban railway network in the world. There are 882 interconnected station in the Tokyo metropolis, 282 of which are substation. trains are often extremly crowded at peak travel times, with people being pushed into trains by so-called oshiya (pushers). Shijuku station is the busiest train station in the world by passenger throughput.

2. Bicycle

Bicycle are widely used in Japan's for everyday life by people of all age group and social standings commuting to school, work, or to the closest railway station, picking up children from preschool or doing the daily groceries are among the activities commonly done by bicycle.

Due to high popularity of bicycle, they are dedicated parking near most railway stations and shopping center. Here and there you may even find multi-storey parking garages for exclusive used by bicycles. In Tokyo, theft is not uncomman. In oder to fight bicycles thief , every bicycle in Jpan is suppose to be registered with the police against a small one-time fee. If you buy a new bicycle, the registration process likely be handed by the store.

Using the public transportation can help to reduce air pollution and solve traffic congestion. This situation will help Tokyo become more attraction  and make the people stay at Tokyo comfortable with their surrounding.

In going through this globalization flow, the main thing is to be emphasized is the economic factor. Economic factors are very important in the life if an individual. In fact, economic factors can differentiate the status of an individual.
Tokyo is one of three "command centers" of the financial world, along with New York and London. Tokyo is the largest metropolitan economy in the world. According to the study conducted by Princewaterhouse Coopers, the Tokyo urban area (35.2 million people) had a total Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of u.s $1,191 trillion in 2005 (the parity purchasing power), yhe position onceagain as largest city GDP. As the world in 2008, 47 companies listed in the global 500 in based in Tokyo, almost double the city's third place (Paris).

Tokyo is a major international financial center, put some of the principal office of the world's biggest companies and investment banks, insurance, and serves as a hub for the transportation industries, publishing, and broadcasting of Japan.

Tokyo assessed by the Economic Intelligence Unit  (the highest cost of living) city the most expensive in the world for 14 consecutive years ending in 2006. This analysis an executive for the life of the Western lifestyle, with items like a house and several cars.

Farm land are concentrated in Western Tokyo. Perishable foods such as vegetables, fruits, and flower can be easily delivered to the markets in the eastern region. Spinach are the most important vegetable in Japan's. As in 2000, Tokyo supplied 32.5% of spinach leaves product sold in the market center.

Tokyo Bay was formerly the main source of fish. At this time, most of Tokyo fish production comes from the outer island, such as the Izu Oshima and Hachijojima. Tuna, nori and aji are a part of ocean products.

It is clear to us that to live comfortable in an area of vital economic factor. Tokyo is famous for currency and cost of living is high but  it deserved because the income that they have earned can help in their daily expenses.

Tokyo is also one of Japan's prefectures, but is called metropolis rather than prefectures. Tokyo consist of 23 city ward, 26 cities, 5 town, and 8 village including the Izu and Ogasawara Islands, several small pasific island in the south of Japan's main island Honshu. The 23 city ward are the centre of Tokyo and make up about one third of metropolis area while housing roughly eight ofTokyo's approxiamately twelve milion people.
Prior to 1868, Tokyo was known as Edo. A small castle town in the 16th century. Edo become Japan's political center in 1603 when Tokugawa Ieyashu established his feudal goverment there. A few decades later. Edo had grown into one of the world most populos cities. With Meiji Restoration of 1868, the emperor and capital moved from Kyoto to Edo, which rename Tokyo ( eastern capital).

Living environment is very vital when we are choosing the best city to live in. A good weather means that we may NOT fall SICK easily. For me, weather is very important as a good weather can make us feel comfort and increase our work rate too!

Vienna has a mild continental climate, even if the occasional winter's day is icy and a sweltering heat sits between the palaces of the Old City on the odd day in midsummer - on most days of the year, the weather in Vienna is like the city's inhabitants: the weather in Vienna is friendly, mild and moderate in every respect. Summer enables us to have some activities like swimming and camping. Outdoor activities enable us to strenthen our family rapport due to I care for my family. During winter, we can have ice skating or pay a visit to the Alps region! It's so fascinating to live at there!

Water activities are often the good ideas during summer. One's can relax myself when I am surrounded by water.

Ice skating is the enjoyable activities in Vienna, maybe making a snowman is funny for children too? I think I prefer a Husky for myself as a pet.

I think our life should fill with happiness and relax besides hard work. After a whole day tired working, it's the time to relax and reward ourselves! But what can we do after a stressful day in a city? People may suggest that clubbing or go to the pub. Yeah! Those are the good ideas since I enjoy nightlife!

Vienna has a variety of nightlife options. Its low crime rate and extensive public transportation network make going out at night safe and convenient. Regular public transportation (subway, tram, and bus) runs until approximately 12:30. After this, nighttime bus lines provide service every half hour (fifteen minutes on some segments). 

Starting in the 1980s, the pedestrian zone between the St. Ruprecht's Church (the oldest in Vienna) and the Bermuda Bräu microbrewery became the now-popular "Bermuda Triangle." It is the one area of the inner city district where relatively loud music and noise is tolerated. Many bars and small clubs are located in this neighborhood.

The First District in general has an abundance of night life options for any budget. There are many Irish pubs with pint prices starting at €2. On the other side of the price-spectrum are bars such as Sky Bar and Do & Co., which are frequented by the Austrian elite. Opening hours vary essentially by neighborhood noise ordinance agreements. In the summer, bars' outdoor seating often has to be vacated by 11 p.m. Generally there is an abundance of establishments open until 4 a.m. or later, especially on the weekend.

Larger nightclubs are generally located further out. Popular ones include U4 Disco, located on the U4 subway line, two medium sized clubs in the wine-producing neighborhood of Grinzing, and an ever-increasing amount of large clubs on the eastern side of the Danube, often located in shopping malls and cinema complexes. One popular club located near the center of the city is Flex, which is on the shores of the Donaukanal, and, like U4 is also located on the U4 subway line. Flex often features world-acclaimed dance music DJs.

In the summer, the eastern shore of the Danube is very popular. It is called Copa Cagrana, which is a word-play of Copacabana and Kagran, which is a sub-district nearby.
Starting in the late 1980s, the city undertook much effort to revitalize the area around the Westgürtel (Western Beltway), which had become a red-light district. Today, large portions of the Westgürtel have been modernized, with many restaurants, bars, and mini-clubs now located under the elevated tracks of the U6 subway line. 

This is my dream life since the nightlife in Vienna is not lethargic and boring. Instead, it's full of enjoyment and relaxing. Let's have a look at fews of picture below:

We will face a headache when we live in a city. Guess what? The traffic congestion! We waste our time being stuck in a dragon-long overcrowded car. Residents of the city often suffer from this "disease" and it is stressful and make us to become emotional. To choose a best city to llive in, we must choose a city which is free from traffic problems and perfect transportation system. Public transportation is the best way to curb the traffic congestion. If the public transportation has a high performance, it means the public will choose public transportation as their priority. Vienna do have a good public transportation which is systematic and blemish-free!!
Vienna has a well-developed public transport network. Buses, trains, trams and underground lines will take you almost anywhere in the city in no time at all. Vienna public transport Wiener Linien operates five underground lines, 30 tram and 83 bus lines, of which 23 are night lines. Night lines only operate between 12.30 am and 5.00 am. The Wiener Linien vehicle fleet currently consists of over 500 tramcars and almost 500 buses. So, it helps you to not waste your time on waiting the public transports. You can get them in anytime and anyway! It is so convenient and it saves your time!
In order to use the public transport, you will need a ticket. Validated tickets can be used for all public transport in the core zone. Tickets are available at ticket machines at most underground stations or at points of advance sale. Tobacconists also sell tickets. You may also purchase a ticket on board the bus or tram at an increased rate of EUR 2.20 per ticket. It's quite cheap as you can travel anyway using all the public transports with only one ticket. It seems I can farewell to the traffic and transportation problems when I move into Vienna!

A bad road management and construction are irritating and may cause danger to the road users. Some accidents are came from the bad road condition. But then, Vienna is a city where you will free from these troubles! Let's have a look at what special that Vienna has.

Municipal Department 28 - Road Management and Construction (MA 28) is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and general administration of the public road network (roads and traffic areas) in Vienna. The Department also coordinates construction measures on public roads. Further important tasks are the production and maintenance of road signs, pavement markings, street name signs, and bicycle stands. So, we can cycle or walk to our destinations without confusing during our journey and get lost. These are what most cities do not have! The department are working smooth and we as a road users are gladly to use it.
